Lesson plan--To explore Hartwell's ideas in depth, I'll offer a counter argument to his assertion that there is no value in teaching grammar or grammars as he defines them. I'll hand out this outline instead of my paper, as my paper is very long. Once I've presented the opposing viewpoint, we will have class discussion.

Lesson Plan--To explore Elbow's innovative and controversial article, I'll summarize the views he describes with this presentation. We'll discuss whether or not (and why) his recommendations would work in the classrooms we are familiar with.
